Good Reading

Okay, so I feel the need to share with everyone that the last two books I have read have been absolutely amazing and extremely heart wrenching. The books are called "A Million Little Pieces" and "My Friend Leonard," which is the sequel to the first book. The author is James Free and both books are currently on the New York Times Best Seller list. The first book is about him cleaning up his messed up life in rehab and how difficult it was. The second book is all about his life after rehab and the connection he maintained with two closest friends he made while staying in rehab. The first book is upholding lots of controversy and is currently being dissected by critics and tabloids that not all of the police/arrest encounters that James stated in his book were true. It's been quoted that these incidents were embellished for ratings. Recently James has stepped forward and stated that some of the incidents were stretched because he was advised by publishers to do so, but despite of all of this controversy, Oprah thought it was a fabulous book. It is even recommended by her book club. I know lots of people have already read this book and that I'm probably one of the last to do so, but even though some of the first book is slightly fabricated it is still an amazing book that I just couldn't put down making me finish it in one night. I also finished reading the second book a few days after and also in one night. Talk about tear jerker, but I think it's good for the soul to cry sometimes to release emotions and feel replenished. Two Thumbs up!!

I'm getting to this late, but I just finished reading A Million Little Pieces for a book group. It was good, I really enjoyed it.
